2005 was my first full year as Innkeeper at the Blue Ridge Mountain Inn, and it has been incredible.  Arriving at the Inn each morning to serve breakfast, I try to remember to take a moment to enjoy the stunning view, different and yet beautiful in each season.  I feel very honored to have shared a small part in our guests special occasions... birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, wedding days and honeymoons, and hold a special place in my heart for the folks who come with no occasion at all, yet simply need to recharge their spirits.  I have met guests from all over the world, notably Tokyo, Finland, Norway, Scotland, Canada, Germany and Alaska!  I have enjoyed breakfast conversations and a glimpse into the lives of my guests...Military families reuniting, couples expecting their first baby, adventurous folks heading out early for a morning of skydiving or river rafting, dedicated hikers who log miles in the National Park.  It is truly a joy to serve our guests and I look forward to seeing faces familiar and new in the coming year.
